New Road Angel
Whats the advantages of the new unit over the old? Ive read both leaflets through and there doesnt seem enough to justify the extra expense of upgrading???

Neil summed it up nicely. My Porsche owning neighbour thought the new one would look better in his car! I can't see there is any difference in performance. Highly recommended whatever you go for. It is worth shopping around as I have seen some good online deals for the classic Road Angel.

I know that they've stopped doing the lifetime subscription for the new one. So if you sell your existing one to get the new version, bear that in mind. Subscriptions are non transferable.

Yeah, thanks for the advice... Being a tight b'tard I think I'll look for a good deal on the old one...Seen some around the £230-250 new so will plump for that.
Do we know if it fits in the top box on the classic impreza? Having remote laser monitoring could be an advantage then?

Dragging this one up from the depths...
Is all the info on the new road angel gps provided? - I'm thinking of the clock and whether it's auto-update or you have to set it yourself?
Does the integrated laser detector see over the wipers or does it need to be lifted up the screen? I might have to stick it to one side of the dash so I can see it rather than it being hidden behind the Defis...
I've got a classic road angel which I might donate to my old man but I've to get a cable sorted out for my Ipaq first - I wish there was some better subs offers for the new one.
