Default Cables needed to capture video from VCR

Cables can get so confusing..especially when you dont have the right ones :-)

Right i recently bought a TV card to capture old VHS tapes and burn DVDs etc

My problem is my VCR has only analogue output or scart. The TV card has input for DV and a yellow rimmed thing. Any ideas as to what cable i need for this.

cheers

Sounds like you need a Scart to S-Video lead to me. Does the "yellow" connection have a series of small holes in it to accept a connector with a lot of pins or does it look like a standard Audio connector (i.e. a red or white that you get on an amplifier)?

IIRC then you need to use the Red and White leads as well for the audio. Yes you can get the leads from Maplin (not deleved too deeply, but this is the kinda thing you are looking for http://www.maplin.co.uk/products/mod...&moduleno=1041), probably Dixons and other such places as well.

Have a look here for a bit more info
