Default MP3 player wanted - with Ladbrokes winnings

OK all

My birthday coming up soon - wife wants to buy me a MP3 player

All I want is a 256Mb pocket one

Please no 'Buy Apple Ipod Advice!' - I have never been a 'follow that sheep' individual

Come on, what about the iRiver 390 at £119? (thats about the amount I wish to spend of wifeys money! )

So you've managed to rip all your Des O'Connor LP's onto MP3 then?

Depends on what you do when listening to them. Most are much of a muchness. Personally, I'd be looking for one with a decent battery life that doesn't needs lots of heavy batteries and can be expanded beyond it's basic memory size.

The MPIO ones are pretty good. I think 12Lee on here sells them.

Only takes 15 minutes to charge, whilst transfering files,

However there is a mains charger available, at only £30.

Fair enough - but what about when you are on holiday and away from the PC?

I would rather pay extra and have a AA or AAA rechargeable handy .... when you add on the AC Charger its not cheap enough is it?

I've got a Benq Joybe 120, very impressed with it (much better than my Sony stick thing) but when they say it's got USB charging they're lying cos it hasnt!
Also has a radio which comes in handy...
