Tyre weights
I've seen numerous sites that show wheel weights, but so far, none that show tyre weights.
Does anyone know of any?
Failing that, are there any tyre fitters out there that could weigh some tyres, say a 205/50/15, 205/40/16, 215/40/16 and 205/40/17 of the same brand would be goood choices.
It's all very well wanting a set of Volk te37s (for example) but if I then put a heavier tyre on, I've lost the benefits of the exspensive lightweight wheel.

Interesting.
I was watching the indy 500 the other day, and noticed how easily one of the mechanics picked up 2 wheels. Now if I picked up 2 of my wheels with tyres, I would have to put my back in to it, however this guy picked them up like they were a couple of empty boxes?
Are the wheels lighter, or are the tyres lighter?
