Any one else done a postal vote?
Being in the East Midlands we have had to have a postal vote for the elections, how odd is the process. Its quite confusing initially and I really wonder how the old dears will manage ...............

Mark an X next to your chosen party, put it in the envelope and seal.
Sign declaration, get witness to sign declaration, put in other envelope,
put 1st envelope in second envelope and seal.
Post.
Not too difficult

Very very easy...just read the instructions. Vote, sign, countersign and post before the due date.
It's the way voting should have been in the first place.

Not exactly a secret ballot though is it ? It wouldn't be too difficult to find out who voted for which party. Also, on the face of it, it would seem easier to fiddle than an election in Zimbabwe.
I also agree that the poor old dears who postal voting is supposed to benefit will struggle with the instructions.
With the state of the postal system at the moment I'd be surprised if any of the votes got there on time anyway.
