Who will turn C4 off after the last Friends?
So E4 is not showing the last ever Friends on Thursday night (all but the last one have been on E4 24 hours before C4).
This is in a bid to turn millions of unsuspecting people into retarded gibbons (ie watch Big Brother XXVII).
How many of us are going to switch off as soon as Friends is finished, compose oneself, and then get bladdered - remembering those 10 years of comedy moments?

Friends - watched it about twice, ever. BB - not a chance.
Hopefully friends will be replaced by something a bit more cerebral. I'm not holding my breath though.

Thank goodness its finished, thats 10 years I've had to dodge ch4 for. If you want an idea of a good comedy Tiggs from someone who greatly dislikes Friends then I shall give you my choice as Cheers. Its the only US comedy that is funny and lasted a long time in my opinion. I'd rather watch 10 episodes of the Golden Girls than watch one episode of Friends its that dire. Oh and just two other examples for good measure - Roseanne and Home Improvement with Tim Allen - now thats funny!

I'm with Chip and Bravo on this. I've watched about two episodes of friends...didn't laugh at either. Just didn't get it. Lame American humour that isn't funny.
Unfortunately we'll now have to suffer endless repeats
...and I've only got 11 years to catch Chip up so am I a grumpy not-quite-so-old man?

cheers is also funny..but for a different generation.
i dont think anyone can tell me friends isnt funny, you could say you dont like it but when i, and gazillions of others, laugh at it for 10 years solid...it must be a little amusing (or is this just scoobyitus where a scoob owner, having picked a car that most people think is a bit ugly and cheap looking, then decide to hate all things that appeal to the majority?)

No, for me Tiggs, I just don't get it. The same way I didn't like Twin Peaks, but did like Wild Palms. Just didn't do anything for me. I'd sooner watch Moonlighting thanks

Roseanne was good sometimes but Home Improvement is the daddy - so funny every episode. IIRC it went on for nearly 10 seasons too and is a lot less well known than Friends. God bless disney channel for all those repeats

Sorry Tiggs, but I don't think and have never thought it was funny - yet you tell me it is funny no matter what I think. That is BS as a TV series such as this is only funny in the opinion of the beholder. You cannot categorically state something is or isn't funny as it's not quantifiable - it's always subjective.
All the best,
tiggers.
P.S. Just in case you're in any doubt I think Friends is one of the biggest, most pretentious load of overblown, egotistical and self indulgent pieces of ****e to ever hit the TV screens.

Cheers is a masterpiece of comedy while Friends is the other end of the scale.

agreed - overrated rubbish. 4 must have the bl00dy 9 series playing all at the same time at various parts of the week, Its sad how many times so many people will watch the same bobbins.
My faves:
Home Improvement, Rosanne and all time fave Married with Children

what happened to that documenary that was supposed to be last Fri & literally took off the last minute. They didnt comment at all why just said a change of schedule. I would have thought the last but one Friends then the documentary would get huge ratings so i was very surprised or was i asleep & imaged it all?
btw ends . Fri - very clever

I, in the manner of a more adjusted gentlemen of pleasure will be out drinking on Friday nite, which is distinctly preferable to the self induced torture involved with watching Friends........

Imo, Friends started well, dipped, then ended strongly. I think Joey was a great character, but Ross was never convincing. Enough genuine laughs to keep me amused though.
Of course, there's Will and Grace now - even sharper, except for the whiny woman - decent lines, but the voice spoils it all.
But if they're still showing Frasier, repeats or not, i'll still be watching!
Oh, and then there's the cricket..

But they *did* replace it with a highly amusing documentary about the guy given four weeks to become a convincing drag queen. Apparently.
