Got the 2.5SE
Smooth, quiet, economical (34mpg), reliable, handsome, well specced, no ball of fire, but no slug and relatively discrete.
Went from a 02-STi to this and am much happier with it, Impreza's don't do high mileage in my experience.

What sort of deal did you get? Good discount?
Looks nice.
I've read/heard the interior is pretty germanic and a lot better than the Scooby. Correct? Load area quite spacious?

I got 18k for my 60,000mile STi, not too bad and paid list on the new car.
There's a 3 year free service deal on at the moment.
Interior is superb, solid, good switch gear and attractive looking.
Rear load space is good, takes all my tools/spare parts etc easily.
You get a huge spec list on the SE, Leather/Climate/Cruise/MoonRoof etc etc.
12,000 service was £140.
I've had the Leggy 3 months and done 13,000 miles and my only fault has been a rattly rear speaker.
The only other moan is the Sat-Nav, I was told that no SEn's were available in my spec, but that the retrofit Sat-Nav would be the same price as the difference between SE and SEn (£1500), so I brought without.
Now that the retrofit is officially available it's £2500 !!! somebody at IM must be living in a dream world.
Go for a test drive, I heard the 2.0 was quite gutless, but if I can get 34mpg from the 2.5 Auto then no pointin the 2.0 really.

I noticed this morning that Motorpoint are selling the top of the range new Legacy for £18999. List is £26k. Fantastic saving. It's the 3.0Rn (the one with the satnav too).
Just a shame it's a 4dr and not an estate Would have jumped on it otherwise.
