Sat-Nav advice wanted
I am thinking of buying a sat-nav system for my scoob in order to put my wife out of the misery of map reading. I no BA about them but would welcome some advice as to the various systems together with pros and cons

You have probably missed out on the bargain that was the Aldi Satnav deal (see other threads on here). I have just set mine up and have been trying it out, I'm very impressed. The system consists of a PDA (Pocket PC) and a plug in GPS. Software on the PDA does the navigation work, reading directions out to you as you go along.
The beauty of these systems is that you also have the PDA for contacts, reminders, calendar, word processor, mobile Internet etc...
The Aldi system, made by Medion, is also available from Halfords for £400 (paid £270 for mine), but there are plenty of choices if you decide to go the pocket PC route. I'm going to load the UK speed camera database onto it at the weekend

Check out the not yet released Tomtom Go. Everything you need apparently in one box. I hate wires everywhere
