I always used to take lemsip capsules-found they worked better than the drinks.

Try Echinacea tablets from the chemist or someone like Zipvit.co.uk.

I am (was?) the most cynical f***er alive and would never touch "herbal crap"

....but I did (I think I was pissed) and it works!

Cold remedies are a waste of money. Most of them just contain a decongestant, such as phenylephrine hydrochloride and paracetamol. Just buy some boots own brand decongestant and some paracetamol and you'll be good to go!

Vitamin C and Zinc are supposed to help kill it off faster too.

Thumbs up

I used "Nurofen Cold and Flu" for a recent cold that was threatening to ruin an important interview. Worked well where 'hot lemsip' type stuff didn't.

get 1/2 bottle of black bush, take of lid, microwave for 4 minutes, drink and go to bed. You will still feel crap tomorrow, but at least you can blame it on the drink
