car fire extinguishers (powder) 1kg - can they be refilled?
had to use mine in anger yesterday after a fire started in the garage (mig welding and rags covered in meths don't mix!)
can these extinguishers be refilled or are they just disposable? i think they're only about 20 quid from halfrauds anyhow...

At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, I would expect
a) depends on the extinguisher (halfrauds disposable, compared to "trade brand" refillable
b) depends on what someone wants to charge you for refilling it, after which you might just say sod it and bin the thing.

checked last night, it's a 1kg powder one made by Guardian. Says on the back "refillable". since it only cost 20 quid i can't see it being refilled for much less - anyone had one of these refilled?
