No not really. Make sure you take them out before you fill pond in

Just put an ad in local newsagent saying free fish for collection. DL

The Ghost Carp may be! Depends on size! If they are over a pound (lb) in weight then they could fetch £150+, if they are over 25lb in weight (which I doubt) then you are talking thousands!

If they fit in an 8" frying pan - give a shout and I'll re-home them for you

Hi M8

Where abouts are you?

The Ghost Koi could be worth something as above dependent on size and grade, best get someone who knows about Koi, as you could be to sell them for a bit.

Ghost koi are usually Euro grade (as opposed to Japanese grade) and are not among the top sellers (like Kohaku, Sanke, Showa, etc...)

Can you post pictures of them ? If so, your best bet would be to put the pictures on something like http://www.koivet.com or http://www.koichat.com

It doesn't just depend on weight (fat fish are called pond mutts) but on build, posture, colouring, skin quality, amongst other things.

Good luck

I'd also be interested in the fish if you are binning them anyway - the ghost koi especially , the shibumkins I'll use to help establish the pond, after that.....

Erm, that's not really a ghost koi, but <sad **** mode on> it looks more like a Matsuba - with a few scales missing BTW </sad ****>

We buy in Ghost Carp at £5 + VAT per lb,so I don't expect that you will be looking at a great deal of money, unless they are very large.

What have you done with these fish then? Just wondered if they ended up at a good home or not?
