Setting Up A Company
Hello
My wife wishes to set up a small company to sell cards, and I thought we should do it properly: Register a company name etc...
As you all seem to be entrepreneurial type people, I would be grateful if you could answer the following:
1/ Where do I check if a company name I like is available? (Preferably on-line)
2/ How much does it cost to register?
3/ Any advice?

Not sure about the name either, TBH. It has very negative connotations. I'd change it for something more upbeat and (perhaps) a little jokey....

check to see if your chosen clashes with any existing registered names here

Thank you for the replies. Sad And Lonely is something I have had for a while, and just use it as a play area really. I thought about setting up a dating agency or something, but have never got around to it...
As for names, we haven't really thought about it! "Joanna's Cards" is about as creative as it has got so far!
