Default Which Car Cleaning Stuff?

Evening all,

Can anyone suggest some decent car cleaning and polishing products, have decided I really should start taking care of the car whilst it still looks new and shiny!

Also what sort of cloths do you use for polishing, tried some lint free cloths from halfords but they seemed to leave a trail of little flakey white bits after wiping across a surface from the cloth.

All suggestions welcome!

Ta

a LOT of people swear by swissol.

personally for me it costs too much compared to the value of my car (96 wrx.. cant be worth THAT much more than a bottle of swissol anymore ), so i tend to use autoglym (sp?) for the car, and wonder wheels for (you guessed it) the wheels... and have great results with both (especially wonder wheels).

but if your car is new(ish) and you're proud of it.. it may be worth checking out swissol.

.............................or Meguiars which may not be as good as Swissol but its a very close second at a fraction of the price.

I just use Turtle wax shampoo and then polish with Color Magic. For best results always wash and wax on a cold day.
I just pulled the Karcher pressure washer out this evening to give my manky car a clean and the bloody motor set alight and smoked to buggery.

Watch Wonder Wheels btw, it now has some warnings on it about use on certain alloy wheel finishes.

Meguiars all the way. Can't rate this stuff enough. Havent used Swissol but then again i'd need to extend the mortgage just to buy a tiny jar of the stuff

I use the same as milo, but sometimes also use turtlewax shampoo.

Don't know that the expensive products have as much benefit on older faded paintwork (like mine).

What on earth are you doing polishing the type R? I hope that it's not true and that Daz does the hard work.
