Talking VAN HELSING

Saw it last night and its terrific. YES it sticks to the old, old stories, but the special effects are outstanding, some rather amusing moments too.
NOT to mention Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale, something for everyone there !

To add to that : there was a "Making of Van Helsing" prog on Sky last night, just watched it, seems our Kate and Hugh are pretty fit beings too, they did most of their own stunts, The guy who played Count Drac, actually married one of his "Brides" after the filming !

That same guy played Q or M or whatever in LXG (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen) so must have come good in that to get this part

I saw Van Helsing last night and rather enjoyed it. Loved the opening scenes were the town folk were persecuting Frankenstein just like the classic ....also thought Kate Beckinsale is really fecking fit!

Frankie’s creation turned out to be a bit wet paper bag character. I thought the monster was going to annihilate everything he got his hands on but the sad git was crying and moaning all the time! Even Igor could kick the crap out of him

Yeah saw it Friday night, it was good - but not great.

However, I found myself quoting Harry on Dumb and Dumber on more than one occasion

'Would you look at the funbags on that hose hound !?!'

Ms. Beckinsale has one fit ar*e ! I could get lost in there for a week

<sigh>

I liked Van Helsing. Just good escapism for 1.5 hours.

Kate not do it for you, Bub?

Must admit, last time I watched it I spent more time leering at her than actually following the plot.
