Laser speed cameras - at an angle?
If they point at your number plate and it is angled 15 degrees to the vertical do they get a signal back?
How do they work from a bridge? Surely if they point at a flat area of car with so little scatter (3 milliradians) they are not going to get a signal back?

It depends how close the car is. The LTI 20 20 can pick be used in theory at 1000 metres. Obviously if a car is more than 500m away, then the angle isnt going to be as large. If the car is 20m away, then yes, it wont reflect a signal.

John,
There are a few cases going on at the moment that are intent on showing how inaccurate the Lti20-20 is. Popular belief says that the beam is only a few inches wide at the range in which they are used, where actually they can be over 4 feet across, which when used at an angle(and most are) means that the return beam can be scattered all over the place and so give false speed readings.
