if someone wants me to end an auction early to sell privately, how do i do it ??

You can do it through the "selling" tab of "my ebay" providing the auction has not already received bids.

Think you can cancel bids via the same section then end the auction early, personally ive had loads of "offers" like this in the past and ive always told people just to wait til the auction ends because i want the best price... and guess what - ive always got a better price leaving it on ebay
