any one own a garage????
hi does anyone own a garage, what i would like to know is that what kind of insurance do you have to have.also this would cover any cars that were in your garage if they were stolen damage etc. What id like to know how do you claim do you have no claims bonus etc which goes. Also if you had claimed would your premiums go up etc. Anyone shed any light on this for me plzzz

Hi, I own 2 of these beasts and the simple answer is...I have NO insurance on them and I make that quite clear in the rental agreements. I also make it clear that nothing iffy is to be stored in said garages.
Why do I call them beasts ? Because they bring in nice wonga when they are being rented but its very much a coming and going type of rental, and I've been messed about a bit by one renter. Just lay down the law from day one and you should be ok. Good luck !

You may find that NO car parts are covered by either your house insurance, or your car insurance, unless sepcifically stated & requested
I got burgled a few weeks ago, all my tools went (Car was on the front) some car parts went too, was told to basically kiss them goodbye
Also, most garages/outbuilding policies seem to have a capped limit, ie I was told mine was 2 grand, my isurance is being changed as soon as I have my settlement from my current insurers
