Default Recruitment question

Guys N gals,

I am currently working in IT support and I'm interested in getting involved in IT recruitment. I have been on a few jobs sites and have seen a few trainee positions going. The problem is that I have no experience in this field and don't know what I should watch out for. I'm just wondering if anyone here is involved in recruitment and is able to give me some advice.

Thanks

John

My sister did it for a number of years, her advice would be not to bother. It's a young persons game, no career as such just sales and targets.

I'm sure there are different experiences, especially if you got a job with one of the big ones such as Sanderson\Parity\Huxley.

I wouldn't bother. I've been an IT recruiter for nearly 10 years.

There was a lot of money to be made in it (in some cases there still is) but after the .com bust the market tightened it's belts significantly.

A career can be made in recruitment but it's bloody hard work despite what anyone tell s you. Feel free to PM me if you want more info.
