number plate spacing
just a thought-does the car affect way pc plod looks on illegal spacing of number plates-is he more likely to pull u over if u r in a scooby say then an old mondeo-plus if u have it illegally spaced but if it was something like a letter 'x' moved to wrong side is he more likely to let that go as it is still easy to tell that it is a letter rather then move an 'o' to make it look like a zero-maybe if i just move letter spacing but keep in right style lettering he will be more lenient as well then have italics as well as illegal spacing-any thoughts-comments?

I've seen some really feckin outragious fonts, spacings and colours of plates on Saxos, Puntos etc i mean how the **** do they get away with it
My father in laws best mate is a traffic cop on the M62 he said if he cant easily make out the letter or number (regardless of spacing and font) on a plate from 20 yards then he pulls it and gives a warning etc etc.
..............................sadly though he also said that he knows colleagues who will pick on any none conformant plate and he knows cops that never bother unless they are pulling the car up for something else.
I think what he's trying to say is the more you do the more you run the risk of being pulled. I asked him that if i kept my plate as totally legal but moved the spacing together ie from **** *** to ******* then the chances would be very remote but not failsafe
