Weren't there rumours recently that Italian judge was going to reopen the manslaughter case against Williams ? Perhaps Hill's trying to do his bit to make sure this doesn't happen.

Is he talking about Senna, or Schumacher here?

When Senna crashed it certainly didn't look like under steer and it also didn't look like driver error. The car just stopped turning and went straight on IIRC

Agree with Brun. From what I remember is actually seemed to turn away from the corner slightly which is impossible from understeer and to be caused by driver error would require the driver to think the corner was going the other way!!! Maybe he'd been driving the track in reverse the night before on his Playstation

Damon hil spouting rubbish is nothing unusual. Very poor timing on his part though with the 10th anniversary of Senna's death coming up.
He has no more idea what caused the crash than anyone else. He's entitled to his opinions (and that is all they are), but has no basis on which to rubbish others.
DH is getting more and more like Mansel as each year goes by. Whinging old has-been.

There was a Channel 4 programme that explained why he crashed.
As I remember, he crashed on the first fast lap after a safety car had been out. His tyres were cold and therefore under race pressure. This meant that the car was sitting too low on the road. As he accelerated around the fast corner, the downforce on his car pushed down, bottoming out the car. This lead to the car skating on the wet tarmac and off. There was nothing Senna could have done, apart from driving a little slower at the begining of the incident.
