How can the Protestant's/Loyalists have been worse than the Provisional IRA, what was you measurement ? It can't be body count,bomb attacks in other countries, gun attacks in other countries or links with international terror groups(Lybians,Columbians,Eastern European terror groups,RAF,Baerder Meinhoff...). Please enlighten us. There are no good guys in the Province, only criminals and murderers. The worst of which were clearly the nationalists if you take body count as a measure.

When was the last time the loyalists bombed England(Birmingham, Manchester, Warrington, London.....), killing innocent civilians or British forces bases in Germany. its from a US website, probably with republican sympathies. The numbers you quote of 700 killed by IRA and 800 by Loyalist and 1000 security forces, don't add up to the 3,500 killed in total. Its rubbish. Obviously Policemen and Soldiers don't count as victims in your book. Not to mention those killed for alleged touting....

im a protestant, i also live in N Ireland born bread a buttered and i have no doubt in my mind that the protestant organisations are the worst, because they are run by idiots. i am not afraid of the going down the street to be mugged, beaten, murdered by the IRA but i am of te UDA, UVF, LVF etc etc. imo i'd have every terrorist shot between the eyes and that includes the ones that would class me as a friend or family they are no good.

Madjay is probably right - since about the middle of the 70's the ra have tried to 'play fair' (you know what I mean - bomb warnings etc etc,) while the loyalists (and the INLA) have pretty much played at gang warfare. That said - if you manage to get past the drug/power related beatings, muggins and shootings and you get yourself into the town centre for a bit of shopping, you stand a much greater chance of getting atomised by the IRA cos some gimp forgot to call in the warning.

I think all the terrorists and politicians should be given loads of guns and put on a small island so they can blow the crap out of each other........ hey - someone has done that already

The sad thing about Glasgow is that people will kill someone (yes, kill) because they are wearing a piece of clothing either with green or blue. To me, that has nothing to do with religion. It has more to do with pre-conceived motives & sectarianism. Actually, I don't think it is anything to do with sectarianism as most wouldn't know what it really is. It's just a blinded view that either green/blue is bad, and the minority use that to commit a killing. Grow up. Bunch of sheep.

The sectarian comments on here have no place in modern society. I'd like to see a justification for them. It's just an excuse for violence, and the sad thing is that some people believe it, which only goes on to breed more & more violence into their offspring.
