My question would be what's the point

I got one upon buying my 60k impreza and one gearbox @76k and an one engine @84k and practically every other bit (including even the starter motor) later...... I feel really glad they inspected it and slept better at nights knowing my purchase had been properly inspected

Got one done on my old cosworth (don't go there!)

Took the guy 15 mins - he could have done the report without getting out of his van.

Best thing was when 5k miles later the exhaust valve melted and dropped down the side of the piston at 'speed'. AA did not even want to know, and gave me £50 refund on the inspection. I paid the £3500 for the engine work.

I'd save the money or get someone who really nows the car, even if you pay a bit more.
