Any guitarists out there?
I'm trying in vain to find a decent music shop in the midlands (I'm based in Northampton) with a decent stock of acoustics / electro-acoustics so I can try a few. I'm after Gibson / Martin or similar.
Anyone know anywhere? There seems to be nowhere in Northampton anyway.

If you're willing to venture to Nottingham, there's a few shops around. 'Music Inn' on alfreton road, 'Academy of Sound' near the Ice Stadium (I have bought three guitars from there including my Les Paul...competetive prices)...and Fox's in the Victoria Centre (which have some of the most amazing Taylor's...mmm)

You can try here http://www.musiccentre.co.uk/guitars.htm I bought my first electric here and they have a good range, not too far from you at all. Might be worth a ring to see what they have in the way of Gibsons etc.
