Default I'm sick of ******** in the Autotrader

Had no car for a bit now, been to see loads, nothing special just want a decent runaround, seen 306s 406s fiestas petrol and diesels (406 TD executive would be ideal), and they were all full of bullsh!t,

TO NAME BUT A FEW

51 reg fiesta 1.25, asked if fsh, well they service themselves now!! - WHAT, told on phone 1 owner, 2 owners and 1 stamp in the book, okay it was £3000

306 gti-6, 1997, blaze yellow, leather 37000 from new 1 owner+demo, drives 50 miles to see it, no history, ripped seats, scratches loads of wear on interior and he wanted £5495

406 TD exec 97 62k cream leather, warrantied miles etc etc, phones him to say im on my way (40 miles) gets there and some other **** buying it, *******!!

and im the *** for paying £2.50 for the mag plus loads on petrol!!!

Funny that, I never buy from dealers. It may take a bit longer to find your private sale, but generally you know in an instant whether the car/owner is honest as soon as you arrive.

remember this from when i wanted to buy a car for the missus a few years back. on several occasions i saw the car in the street before knocking on the owners door, and didn't even bother. obvious crash damage, home made resprays, etc etc on cars that were described as VGC, perfect condition and so on. it really is a time consuming business, hence went to dealers after that. pistonheads and SN cars can be ok though.

Company I work for have a fair number of these. They are owned by LeasePlan and come up for replacement fairly regularly, so I'd guess that a website like http://www.leaseplan.co.uk might show what they have on sale.

They might be high mileage, but will have a service history.

Should be available at around auction prices.
