George Foreman Grill - Me and the missus have lost weight
Quite interesting. Was given one as a Christmas present and have been using it ever since. Quite funny some nights, looking at the different kinds/colours of fat secreted into the catch tray (bacon! Good God!).
Anyway Chav jokes aside (yawn) we think it's really good and adds a dimension, brings out the flavour of some meats that kind be done with ordinary grilling/frying.
Missus mentioned last night that she'd lost some weight since Christmas - about 6 pounds. Since she's not on a diet she couldn't put her finger on why.
I weighed myself this morning and have lost 5 pounds since Christmas! I was amazed.
It can only be the grill.
Nothing else has changed in what we eat, except I suppose the fat we would have digested that is now dripped into the catch tray.
Good eh?
Anyone else noticed this?

Remember your body/mind generally will seek out more carbs during the winter months to help heat you. Without realising it people do eat more and do eat more carbs in the winter time. Perhaps you've switched back into summer mode and in actual fact are eating a little less. Or it could be the grill

Long thread on this recently on here...but I still can't adjust to the taste ...seems a bit dry but maybe I'm overcooking alot of things. Certainly agree with all the fat that you find... yuk

cant you just achieve the same results by grilling in the oven and letting fat drip into the grill pan?

Yeah I wondered that, but when you look at the GF grill it's angled to get rid of the fat into the drip tray. You wouldn't get the same result with a grill pan. No way.

i use a GF grill and like the taste on most things, i would agree with you andrew that it could be the reason why you've lost some pounds, when i look at the fat i empty out of the tray it does make you think about how much fat is taken out of the food by using the grill
