Default FAO YOZA

Hi Yoza,

as i know your into watches, i spotted some interesting items on my travels
to Germany yesterday..

the watch is made by swisschrono? and is a plain anologue watch in what appears to be a gold case,

what caught my eye was the visible movement on the front face

there is the normal crown wheel type arrangement spinning in the lower portion, but in the upper section (on a vertical plane) was a unique trilobal type cog whitch rotated and if my memory serves me correctly was topped by a ruby (jewel)

the cost for this beasty was if i read it correctly was 23,000 euros not sure myself though,, this put it well over the cost of the breigtlinger? models

have you heard of this manufacturer, and are the prices realistic??

Ive heard of ChronoSwiss.

I think the model your describing is known as a tourbillion(sp).

But I cant recall them making one.

I may have been a Pathos with a skelital face.

Dont know of the prices as they are dress watches and I dont go for that style.

Hope this is of some help.

They do make a tourbillon model.

Its a Tourbillon Regulateur model number CH3123, Cat No C9728.
It is as you have described.
Price $23.000 to $14.900 depending on what base metal your require.

Here is a simplistic reason for the tourbillon movement.

When I leave one of my autos lying on its crown side, it will gain time.
If I leave it on its opposite to crown side it will lose time.
This has something to do with the rotation of the escapewheel.
So the Tourbillon was designed to rotate over 24 hours, giving an even movement to the escapement.

I may be wrong though, but Im sure Ill be educated soon if Im incorrect..
