Great, thanks neighbour.....
Today has been good then....
Seeing the first signs of spring I thought I would do a few chores about the garden...
So there I am cutting the grass for the first time this year and what should I find but 2 lumps of freshly hidden excrement. Have you any idea how unpleasant it is running over lumps of $hit with a 4.5 bhp hover mower?!
Next job is sweeping up the leaves outside the back door and what should I find but a freshly killed male blackbird, scratched and chewed but otherwise completely whole. Nice.
And now for the triple whammy.... whilst de-weeding the pond what should I find?.... I am missing 2 fish. They were all present and correct the other day when the pond was frozen for a week.... 3 days thawed and they are gone!
I have identified the culprit as I have seen a "newcomer" stalking in my garden the last couple of weeks - just not caught in the act yet....
I would just like to take this opportunity to give a heartfelt thankyou to the owner of the little monster for blessing me with its presence. I'm sure it gives you many hours of joy for which I am more than happy, along with the other creatures in my garden, to suffer miserably for.
oh yeah.... 8 lives down, one to go......
