say a fail school (probably will)
if i go to college and learn plumbing, do an apprentiship, after that how would i go about setting up my own little business.

IMO the best way is to start off working for someone else. get some experience, meet other people in the trade. eventually the person you are working for *may* let you take on jobs at a price - i.e. i've got £1,000 on this job, do you want it for £800? if you are good you may be able to start your own operation after a few years.

Serve your time, get plenty fiddle work on the go along the way, get known by loads of people for turning out an excellent job, then make the big step to go legit.
Then cuss and swear about all the blokes doing fiddle work, taking work away from honest guys like yourself.
Lol.
