Angry If.com and 7 days to even open the post

Hi

Just back from phoning the internet bank IF.com .

I have 2 rather large cheques to clear. I had to post the flippen things but now found out it is taking IF.com five to seven days to open the postbefore they even 'get them on the system' then once on the system then another 5 days to clear. G@ts.

Don't even think about a morgage chaps i hate to think how long that would take!!

steve

nope!
I have exactly the same probs. OK in the mortgage dept but I'm looking at high street banks for current account convenience.
They've actually charged me in the past for delays due to them!
I once sent two cheques in the same envelope (at 4 quid special delivery) and they got deposited on different days?!?!?!

I have my mortgage and current account with them, I cheques into another account and transfer them over the net. PIA but at the time gave me a good deal on my mortgage.
