Question Any body used Cahoot loans?

I need a loan upto £5000 and Im thinking of using Cahoot loans.
Has anybody used Cahoot for a loan and if so how long does it take for the loan to come?
Is there any thing that will be used against me?
I have a clean record but got turned town for an American Express Credit card the other day.

I have aloan with cahoot.
I took about 10 days for the money to be ready to transfer into my account, one think i learnt was I applied for a 15k loan and was preliminary accepted for it, but then as they we ready to give me the money it was dropped to a 10k limit (just after i put the deposit down the the car) so make sure you got the money before you spend it

You can pay as much as you want a month so you you can cut the intrest paid by quite a large amount (only charged on what you owe)

I got turned down for a moble phone from phones4u 2 weeks before i got the loan ?? I have a good credit rating ? you just get the odd stupid company that doesnt want your money !!

Thats all i can think of now

I took out a flexible loan to pay for the scoob and it's suberb in my opinion. It works like an overdraft with a 6.5% rate i.e. you can put in or take out whatever you want up to the agreed limit.

good website & customer service too.

For £5k I'd seriously consider looking at a credit card. You say you got turned down by Amex - was that the Amex Blue card with the 5% rate (fixed for life of a balance transfer?). In which case that's a shame. But there may be others out there.

I took out a Cahoot flexible loan about 6 months ago. No problems at all. Great to be able to manage 'online' how much you have left to pay, you can pay a little more off, or cut back a little if things are tight one month. One thing to remember is that the '6.5%' is FLEXIBLE if you read the small print, but saying that it has not changed in the 6 months I had mine. Just mentioned that, as a freind of mine too took one out, then came to me and said 'hey, do you know the APR is flexible?'. I suppose some peeps just dont do small print.

I work for egg loans, if you ring and say you have been offered a loan with cahoot at 6.9% we will match it, and egg is flexible! its a better loan.

jamo

edited to say its not variable!

Thanks for the info guys. Hope it goes smoothly for me then.
As for the 5k on the credit card. I dont have 5k credit limit thats why im applying for a new card. my banks still think im a student after a year and i half I think I should tell them.
it was the the blue card. think it was 5% balance transfer but that wouldnt be any good for me. i dont have anything to transfer.. wanted to 1% cash back on transactions
