Default digital camera problem

hey just wondered if anyone could help me?

i own a kodax dx4900 digital camera and recently at a party a mystery person managed to spill archers on to it, some of it went inside the camera viat the lens area, at first it was just sticking a bit but now its completely fecked, lens cover is stuck, and it wont power on, it powered on earlier but then wouldnt power off!

is there anyway of fixing this? if so how much do you think it would cost? i dont want to have to fork out for a new camera as this one cost £200 and im skint as hell!!!

please help!!!

Depends if you can dis-assemble it at all. If not, it isn't going to be easy. With electronics you can get it wet as long as it is dry before you use it again. I wouldn't try soapy water but some kind of surgical spirit may help
