Post For those of you who like your planes

Had a meeting with Airbus last week, and the new A380 "Navigator" weighs in at 560 tonnes! Compare that to a fully loaded 747-400 at 396.

Jezz its a big bugger, still fits in the 80m box though.

First flight into LHR is Q1 2006. Trying to blag my way onto a test flight though.

Lightbulb

As they haven't even started building it yet, there aren't many photos around

Thry've started building it alright, just haven't got it all together yet. Engines testing as we speak, main body and wings built, etc.

Are Airbus operations at Filton (Bristol) involved with this?
