Default Speeding Fine/Row UPDATE

I wrote about this a while ago and seen that quite a few people were getting off with speeding fines and points by not signing the form.I did this and sent it back, waited a couple of months and then recieved another one saying i didnt complete the first one.Again i filled in all fields apart from the signature's and sent it back.I have now just recievied another letter from the coppers saying that they acknowledge the receipt of the driver information form which i have partially completed and it is a legal requirement to complete ALL of the appropriate sections. It also contained my second form with the signature area highlighted.

I am now wondering what to do,do i do the same again and risk court or bite the bullet and fill it in complete.

The date of the offence was 18/09/2003

Thanks in advance

It IS NOT a legal requirement to sign it. Suggest you post on www.pepipoo.co.uk or do a google groups search for unsigned forms. good advice there.

You can try sending this letter by making a few modifications. I've done so in the past and it's been over 6 months since I last heard of them.

It seems that when you say you are being coerced into signing invalidates the whole thing. The police nor anyone can force you to anything against your will. Basically section 172 of the road traffic act is illegal in itself. The main problem is, unless you speak up, they'll keep taking your "moolah".

Trust me on this, I'm the author of the article "If speed vans are legal, why do they run?"

All the best,
Peter Ferreira
