Any ideas on what the plastic strip is across the bonet of the Skyline and the Crown ?

First pics I've seen of the new Skyline and have to ay I'm not too keen on it.

You see those little screens a great deal out in USA and Canada, they catch all the flies believe it or not, stops the little blighters splatting over the windscreen at high speed, it deflects them up and over the roof or the little mights splatter onto the tiny screen instead.
