Just for a bit of fun, let's see what the cheapest house is in the UK at the moment.
Rules are:
1)It has to have a roof, walls and windows.
2)It must be capable of keeping someone dry
3)It must be a HOUSE - not a garage or commercial property.
4)It must be in the UK.

"although we have quoted a two bedroom end terrace house as we have been unable to gain access inside the property this cannot be confirmed"

There's one bloke going round buying all the cheap houses in Burnley.
He lets them out until the tennants have trashed them, then boards them up to make the neighbouring property prices drop.
He then buys the neighbours houses cheap and rents them out - so on and so forth.
Once the whole street is boarded up, the council apply to the EU for a grant for "redevelopment" and buy them off him @ more than he paid.
Nice little business he's got going don't you think ?
He lives in a mansion that must be worth around 1 million - all paid for by the tax payers !
Only in Britain !!!!

6k won't get you a months rent in squat, around some places oop North.
Its just down to the area - same as any town - cheap areas and expensive areas.
Granted Burnley has plenty of "cheap" areas but there are a few expensives areas as well
Chris
Burnley spokesperson - soon to be Iraq Minister Of Info
I'll get my coat

Any Uni's (cunning plan) close to these £6K houses? If you could rent out these for £200 a month it would pay for itself inside three years! Or are we talking about Moss side etc
