I am increasingly becoming bored of trolling through the various sites and BBS's on the net.
Every evening I come home from work and just vegetate in front of this infernal machine and nothing gets done around home.
Just wish I could remember what I used to do before I had a pc....
British fecking weather sucks !!!
It's not as if there isn't anything that needs doing either.
I bought a alarm siren of someone on here.. must of been November time... still sat in the conservatory waiting to be wired up.
All my get up and go seems to have got up and gone.
Andy
Can I buy a tin of enthusiasm off anyone ?
EDIT: to add that I have no inclination to sit pickling my liver and lungs in a Pub or to glue my self to that made up sh1te they call TV Soaps !!

Yeah, Winter never really bothered my before, but the past few years it's really pi$$ing me off. It's pitch black when I get up and starts getting dark again at the back of 3pm. For an outdoors person it's driving me nuts.
Could be worse if we lived in the Artic, 24hrs of Daylight might send you just as mad

Fuzz..
I find myself in the same boat - don't worry about it , it's winter & wer'e all in hibernation.
Just do what I do, use the PC as a getaway from the soap sh1te, and then go and chill in front of the telly with a jar or 8.
**** the alrm, you can wire it up in spring
BTW, there is something else you can do at a PC, but it's best left till the missus goes shopping

Know what you mean.... I don't do anything in the winter except veg infront of the computer or veg infront of the TV (both with booze)
DIY is so easy to postpone by saying "I'll do it in the spring" especially as everyone seems to accept that as a valid argument!
so... I'll do it in the spring!..... now wheres that beer....

Hm... I know the feeling. Evenings are usually spent surfing SN with the laptop while TiVo does a brain dump onto the TV screen. Occasionally one of the cats does something amusing.
You could have a go at the Scoobynet Photo Competition - I've spent a few evenings turning a room into an impromptu studio and exercising my (usually dormant) creative side.
Beats flat-spotting your ****, anyway

i know exactly what you mean, although my situation is a little different. I've been off work for health reasons since dec 2002!!! every 3 weeks i have a 3/4 day stay in hospital for chemotherapy. when i'm not there i'm just bored solid. even things i used to enjoy such as playing the playstation 2 etc have become boring. i used to go out fishing a few times a month but cant when its cold for the risk of catching an infection.
some days are better than others but some days you feel like you are actually losing all sanity!!!
cheer up m8, the light nights will be hear soon!!!! ;-)

Pickle,
I see Bob has mentioned it on a thread somewhere, I was quite
FYI 2 cores cost £750
bending work for caps and welding them to the cores cost £60.
I hired a welder at £105 inc VAT to make the outlet pipe connections.
But it was worth it.
Serious ? I could probably get one done for you, would take weeks though as the cores had to be shipped from somewhere in the Netherlands
Then there is the effort of getting off my backside.
want more details... e-mail me.
