Not literally 
But im off to florida, i know theres talk of needing visa being brought in.
At the mo ive 1 year left on my passport. So will i need to renew it before going to florida (24/8/04) 2weeks.

When I went last year you needed at least six months left to run on the passport you take with you. When you go will your passport still have more six months left?

if you are a uk passport holder with more than 6 mnths left you are ok
the us of a has a passport waiver scheme in operation for the countrys mentioned in its agreement the UK is one of them,,,
afaiaa the only people being fingerprinted are persons who require a visa to enter the us

Think your passport has to be one of the new ones, ie with the arrows/numbers/barcode type stuff under the picture, otherwise I wthink you may need a Visa also. Ring the American embassy and they should be able to tell you.
