Keeping it simple, I'm selling my car privately but the potential buyer needs finance. Do you know of any companies that will be able to put something together without a garage being involved?
Any input appreciated

Banks/building societies?
Sub Prime lenders - Black Horse, HFS, etc.
If they havn't sorted the money yet then don't get your hopes up to high, should be one of the first things to do.

Without wishing to pry why do they not sort it themselves, they just pick up the phone and call a bank, bs or such.
Really you cannot sort it unless you finance it and they pay you which sounds iffy.
The lender will require their info from them and them only, not you.
Sounds like a rod for your own back, it should be their issue to sort out, it's not difficult, every ad on sky is for someone desperate to lend u money.
All IMHO and i do not know your situation but my take on the broad picture if you like

Paul, The person that wants my car is an aquinatance. I have all the details which are relevant so I can quite easily do it myself. If I waited for them to do it, it would never happen.
I'm kinda forcing this car on them!!
Also they have ccj's so it's going to be a trawl on the net to see who will accept.
Will be proposing finance in the morning through a garage I used to work at to see if they will except.
Really not wanting to do it this way as the garage will want profit and also no doubt take all the commision from finance.

If you are proposing to take commission from the finance deal yourself, you need to be a licensed credit broker otherwise you're breaking the law. Either let the garage do the hard work and take the commission or shovel the sh*t yourself and get the finance sorted.
