Basil Fawlty - "Two Doctors? What, did you take the exam twice or something?"
Psychiatrist - "No, no. I am a Doctor, and my *Wife* is a Doctor too."

My g/f is a doctor. My best mates' g/f is a doctor. Apart from that, most of our g/f's colleagues go out with other doctors. Can be BORING to socialise with a crowd of doctors as ALL they want to talk about is WORK! yawn. I only go along if I know there's some 'normal' ones or if there's a fair splattering of non medics (rare since most of them are going out with other medics)
I guess a lot of them go out with other doctors as it's
a) easy option as most people they know from uni and work are docs.
b) only doctors can know how they feel as they're in the same boat etc.

Half of my mates who are doctors are married to other doctors, the other half like myself are married to nurses.
You're right Dracoro - doctors are pretty boring company, I'm sure you've come across the conversation 'I saw a really interesting patient last week' AAAAAGGGGHHHHHH

I think I've heard that line once or twice before
Maybe I'm missing something, maybe I should talk to them all night about that subroutine in my unix script that I wrote the other day
On the other hand, it's given me greater time and respect for doctors that don't talk shop all the time. Shame they're rare.

I've always found that at the beginning of the evening they promise not to talk shop, but after the first few bottles of wine it all goes out of the window. I guess it's a pretty full-on job, and it's more difficult to leave at the office than code
