Don't ya just hate people who lie.
I know someone who is incapable of telling family, friends, anyone they know, the truth.
Why do people do this???

Oh I know him alright!!
I am just wondering how many others have encountered people like this. I am sure there must be more.
Why don't people just tell the truth about themselves?? Are they so messed up they don't know what it is any more??

In many people they don't realise they are doing it. Even when confronted with overwhelming evidence they still don't back down because they believe what they are saying Dangerous people to be around IMHO

The manager of a pizza place I worked at was like that. He was/is so full of **** - telling me the delivery vans were fitted with tracking devices etc, so people would be caught if they tried to rob you. That, I didn't appreciate, & it made me respect him even less.
Problem is, once you know someone's lied to you, it takes a hell of a long time to trust them to speak the truth.
We've all done it when we were kids & so on, but most people grow out of it. Again, I seem to have the opposite problem of being too honest....

Nothing wrong with being honest, which way would you rather be! I would rather be an honest gulible person than a compulsive liar.
Your right they are not good people to be around, they don't know they are doing it, and I have my new years resolution made....to stay away from him.

I used to work with a guy who was a compulsive BS merchant. Every monday we'd have tales of the women he'd pulled or the fights he'd won He told me his top spec motor had all the gizmos but when he gave me a lift, his central locking seemed to mean sitting in the centre of the car and manually opening the locks His mum was a software designer and drove a Cossie (the dream car of the time for petrosexuals) when she was really a council estate single mum on benefit and didn't know who his dad was. The stories were endless and full of holes but he was totally benign and so we just humored him and saw him as entertainment. He was never very bright and so never figured out why we called him "Walter". Exceptionaly gullible too, which made for lots of fun

So many times I gave this person the benefit of the doubt, even pointed out what was being said wasn't true and that they had said xyz before......but they STILL completely denied it!
