As Im a member of Trackstar, or a "valued RAC Trackstar customer" 
I opened a letter from them today that had SPECIAL OFFER written all over it.
Apparently they are offering to existing customers a smartnav system and speed camera fixed location warning system for £299 including installation, and fees for new services wont be applied til renewal.
Has anyone else got this letter and interprated it differently to me, and how does this compare to other systems?

OK.... 
Quite simply the maps do not seem to get updated. I lost count of the number of times I was sent the wrong way! Road numbers not updated. This does not see to be in one area either as I have had duff info in Yorkshire, Cornwall and Northants.
The system also relies on the O2 network so you can call the route planning peeps. This is not ideal as the GSM networks are not as reliable as GPS. Frequently the route deleted itself from system after it was downloaded.
The GSM system also went haywire if you had the climate control on at the same time!

Oh and that woman's voice drives you mad........... After she tells you to follow the M1 for the next 160 miles she then tells you to keep doing it at every bloody junction
