Irritatingly Vaigue car Adverts
#1
Just been having a browse for another car, (VW passat/golf/Bora /Audi A4, TDi PD130)
And I'm getting really peeved off at all the ads that don't say which version they are and just say it's a Tdi (not mentioning the output - 90, 110, 115, 130 or 150).
FFS you see these ads and it says no time wasters etc.. How TF can you expect NOT to have any "time wasters" calling you up if you don't even list what type of engine it has?
Oh, if any of you lot can tell me how to tell the differance between the various VAG Tdi's without lifting the bonnet - I'm all ears

i hate it where i shows you something abscure then you see the car for 4seconds at the end in an artsy kind of way.
like the renault megane advert with all the TVs in the garages. WTFs that all about?

I once bought a mondeo V6 of a garage - advert said 'Full History' I naievly presumed full service history - went to collect car and got service book with one stamp in it and no other service details.
the garage owner (who now is the RMI chairman i believe) said that service history doesnt affect price. WTF
he wouldnt have it that a car with FFSH is a better buy & usually worth more than one with no SH (all other things being equal).
good thing is I reported him to RMI after he refused to honour the 1 years warranty I paid £300 extra for.
handbrake caliper seized on - he said it was a wearing part on a 20,000 mile 3 year old car. (even though he bopught from a guy who'd stored it for 6 months)
funnily he paid up quickly after that - now I know why - he was after this position.
so if anyone in Huddersfield is thinking of buying a car of a large independant garage at the top of Oakes Q----y gage. think again. (rip off merchant)

The badges:
TDI no red is either 90 or 100
TDI with red i is a 110
TDI with red d & i is 130
TDI with red t, d & i is 150
IIRC, only applies to the VAG 1.9 TDIs
