Question regarding crashes
#1
In a car crash involving say 3 or more cars and car 1 bumps into car 2, pushing car 2 into car 3 etc or car 1 crashes causing all other cars to crash.......who looses their no claims bonus?
Is it that driver 3 claims off driver 2's insurance and driver 2 claims off driver 1's insurance meaning driver 2 looses their ncb when it wasn't their fault.
Or do all drivers claim off the car responible for causing the 1st crash and that driver then has 2 or 3 claims against their name meaning their insurance should be more expensive than it would if just 1 driver was claiming off you.
Btw i havn't had a crash i was just interested.

as far as im aware, if car 1 crashes into car 2, causing car 2 to crash into car 3, then car 2 claims on car 1, car 3 claims on car 2. ****ty deal but im 90% sure that this is how it works.

Had an accident exactly like this 3 years ago. Some dozy rep trying to get home at 5pm wasn't watching that the traffic had stopped in front. Smashed me into the car in front of me. We both claimed off his insurance. Turned out it was a company car and the company's insurance people had it sorted in a matter of weeks.
