Hi
I bought a pair of Mission M72's last night and a Mission M7C1 centre speaker... I am now hunting for a pair of floorstanders to complete my home set up...
I was thinking of the Mission M33's.... anyone know if this set up will sound good for bothe films & music?
Should I be looking at other front speakers?
Cheers
Mike

Big floorstanders. M35's look the part.
Best to try a few at an A/V specialist though , I tried 4 or 5 pairs before I settled on mine.

the M33s'that I have seen are £150 (Empire direct) and the M34's are £225....
There's only 1 audio specialist that I know of in Aberdeen and they don't have any of them in stock...
I was thinking of the M33's and the Sony STR-DB790 from Empire direct... with the centre & rears I got last night, I should be able to enjoy all the DVD's I get from Santa this year in my own wee cinema!

As the wife explained in a rare moment of clarity ..."If you buy the small ones, you will only end up upgrading in a year"
So I picked myself off the floor and bought the 774's (M35 equiv).

Mike,
I'm a massive fan of Mission speakers, the 33's o 34's will work fine.
When you are all sorted the next step I would really consider is upgrading the centre speaker for a m3c2. The centre is the most used speaker and is overlooked in most systems. You would be better with a centre that will match and keep up with the floorstanders.
Then you just need a decent Sub.

I've put 4x M74s around our TV room (2 front, 2 surround), an M7C1 centre, and 2x m7ds bipole rear surrounds.. as audio stuff is on the law of diminishing returns (you pay more and get lesser increments better) I found them to be pretty good for the money.

Mike,
You will still enjoy you system don't worry.
The M7C1 and M3C1 are really designed to be used in sub sat systems or to match in with small speakers.
To M7C1 and M3C1 will have to be run in small mode on the Sony amp which will route the bass to the floorstanders or sub when you get one. To give a full front sound stage the M3C2 will be a much better option.
