What a tw@t that guy was on BBC1 last night going on about Saddam's human rights and how he had been unfairly treated by the Americans/British.
I don't know how he has got the guts to stand there and say that and I would like to give him a piece of my mind. He obviously hasb't seen some of the images of the mass graves. Saddam deserves no rights!

I didn't see the program you're referring to. However, it's worth adhering to some form of legal procedures/protocol. That way, there are fewer chances of a successful legal challenge being raised in his trial (whatever form that may be). If his trial is as unhindered as possible, then the greater the chances of his being handed down as severe a 'punishment'/sentence as possible.
I imagine it would give a lot of people a lot of satisfaction if he just took a major beating at the hand of the Americans. However, it would also give a lot of people a lot of satisfaction to see him rotting in a jail cell for the rest of his life.
