Hi All

My sister keeps getting text messages from an old friend of mine who she dated for 30 minutes yes 30 minutes before she realised what a **** he was/is Before you ask I told her not to get involved

He keeps on texting her with all sorts of messages and I have tried having a word with him but got no-where and she has too and has even got nasty back but he still keeps texting

The thing is that it really upsets her because last time she saw him was at our Grandad's funeral and he keeps refering to the way she looked that day in a pervy way

What can I realistically do to stop the idiot bothering her? It doesn't bother him that she is seeing someone and it doesn't bother him when I have requested that he leave her alone

The guy is a bit of a sad lonely loser with no girlfriend so he just keeps chasing her She doesn't want to have to change her phone number if she can avoid it.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks in advance

Paul

Inform her service provider - they can sort the problem out very easily and quickly.

Don't really want to go down that route. He is that stupid I really don't think he would respond to that either It has to be something official to stop him I think

change her number ?
That's a last resort really To change your number you have to report it to the police first then you have all the hassle of telling people you've changed your number

It is a thought but it would be better just to stop the ****. We have even got him to delete her number from his phone infront of us before but he must have had it written down somewhere

I'm pretty sure that the provider can block a particular number so that your sister doesnt receive the texts anymore. The provider will probably also have a "nuisance" department. Nuisance phone calls are taking pretty seriously. I would imagine text messages are too. Get your sister to make a quick call to her provider's customer service people and I am sure something can be sorted out quite easily.

Her service provider can 'barr' her phone from receiving calls/messages from certain numbers if I remember correctly. Worth a call to them.

If she changes her number, there's always the possibility that he'll find that out in due time so best go for the blocking route.

Sorry to take a different stance, but don't read them? Yes it's annoying receiving a txt but just treat it as spam. I cannot beleive he wont get bored after a while of not being responded too!!

Hi Steve

I will get her to do that later. I was lead to believe that you couldn't block incoming calls and texts from certain numbers these days

Thanks

Pointy Stick comment was along the same lines of grovesy's post

Advise the service provider is the first port of call . . . . then the police . . . . then rusty coathanger down the japseye time.

2 years??? This guy needs a visit - either from the boys in blue or divert the next wycombe scoob run out via his house
Seriously this sounds like its time to report it to the Police as harassment, in which case it would be worth your sister not deleting the messages for a while so that she can show them what is happening. The guy is obsessed.

oh and as for his number, well obviously you really couldnt post it up here cos that would be really naughty
you could of course go to one of those automatic business card machines and make up a little telephone box type calling card along the lines of "Luscious Lucy and her afternoon delights" to be liberally scattered around every phone box in the area. That should keep him busy for a while

Paul Advertise His number as a Male Model looking for some fun - not that he is one

just print out a few little cards and when next in london shuv them in a Telephone box

Or failing that report him and his number for harrassing Zoe
The police take that very seriously aswell and they can actually band his number....
