If i buy a DVD recorder, can i;
Record a CD with my own selection of music?
And be able to replay it on a "normal" CD player?
And what's the difference between CD-RW and CD-R?
Thanks!

Telboy,
Yeah most DVD recorders can write CD audio discs that can be used on any standard CD player.
CD-R is a record once only format whereas CD-RW is rewritable i.e. you can record and then erase and re-record and so on and so forth.
Most standard CD players will read CD-R's as if they were normal studio produced CD's, but some won't read CD-RW's. To be honest the cost of CD-R's compared to CD-RW's mean that I generally only uise CD-R's as they seem to be more reliable than CD-RW's.
tiggers.
