Been offered one as a free upgrade. Has Bluetooth and camera, menus seem easy to use, I used to hate the Motorola operating system but now seeems rather good.
Few questions
Durability
Battery life
Reliability
Easy to use
Accessories like headset, car mount avaliable
any other comments
I have had Nokias for the last 14 years, got a 6110 at the mo. I like the Nokia o/s but the current upgrades are boring 6310 is the obvious one but to be honest my 6110 is a pile of poo, it locks up, switches itself off for no reason and is a bit flimsy so not too keen on the 6310.
Plus side for v500 at the mo:
Bluetooth a necessity
camera nice to have and a bit of fun
Polyphonic ringtones are a laugh
Minus side of v500
I know nothing about Motorola phones
Any comments gratefull recieved.

Paul- I've owned Motorola for 20 years without a single problem, after all said and done if you are talking serious communication and not toy town then Motorola/Vodafone is the only choice.
I have no knowledge as yet on the V500 and probably won't, due to having to change my car kits to suit, plus I've never had a phone ring yet, only vibrate, so the polyphonic gayness and the camera holds no value for me really.
Motorola though everytime. The Nokia's are unsightly in my opinion

The girlfriend has just got one of these and it's pretty good
I'am a Nokia man and even I learn't how to use it quickly
She loves it and there are some great games on it.
Camera and screen is better than theat on the T68i though not tested the Bluetooth out yet.
Wish I had waited a couple of months and looked at non-Nokias before upgrading mine now

I want one on PAYG and can't find one!!
I have had Motorolas since the 80's - the Nokias have a better menu system IMO
However, my daughter wants this V500 on PAYG - she has always had Nokia up till now
So, if you can find one on PAYG (in stock!) PLEASE e-mail me!!

Thanks for the replies chaps.
My other half got one last nite (just to spite me ) and i like it, easy to use, great menu and all round better than i thought.
I will be upgrading today after having Nokias for 14 years.
