can anyone help me here:

We made a claim on my house insurance when our garage was burgled...
Loss adjuster came out (some 3rd party company who handles claims for my building society)...they took our statement (2 hours approx) & we waited.
Nothing through the post & after several phonecalls & 4 weeks later.....we were told that the lady who is dealing with claim is over-worked!!

SO wife complained to our BS & they transferred the claim to another branch of 3rd party company in a different area.
They have now said that they need to come out again with another person from their technical team & it will take 2 hours !!

Is this normal for a claim like this ?? as I have never claimed before.

if they've transferred the file then the loss asjusters report should be sufficient for them to make a decision/offer

had to loss adjusters and never spent more than half an hour with them- sounds like a joke comapny
