Been sore for about 10 days now. The right one. Not all the time, just at certain points in the day it kind of throbs with pain and then dies away. I've felt them both (and encouraged the girlfriend to do the same...) but can't find any lumps bumps etc.
I have got an appointment with the Doc for the end of next week but wondered if anyone has had the same problem?

I think all men get that now and then (not too often) in our lives, most of the time it's nothing to worry about, it'll go away in time, but it's always best to get it checked + ultrasounded to be sure.

Your ball may have twisted inside your sack a little, best to get it checked out.

I had this happen and my female doctor gave them a good check and pronounced them to be "excellent". She wouldn't put that in writing though

Do you need a legitimate reason then - lie your way into an appointment

Although its hardly a great plan of action to get the fit doctor in the sack is it

Have you lifted something heavy recently, you may have strained yourself, but it is best to get it checked pretty quick, just in case.

I'm not a very good liar

On a similar note, the clock in our doctor's reception runs 5 mins fast - In an attempt to make you feel bad about being late, even when you're not

It could be an infection, A bit embarasing, but you need to get it checked out. It not worth the risk of ignoring it.

Hello

You should go to the doctor. As it's a little too long for it to be a normal ache.

You may have a hernia (although usually you will see a slight lump in the muscle to the left (or right (depending on which one!)) of the ********.

If it had twisted I would have thought you would be in a lot of pain by now.

Can be indigestion aswell.

I'd get to the Doc asap. That happened to me a few weeks ago, & they said that if it was twisted, they'd have to do summat about it within a day, or it'd die , as the blood supply's cut off. I'm not saying that's what has happened, but it's best to get these things seen to. They gave me an appointment at the hospital for later in the day, got an ultrasound etc, & I went home. Pain was gone by the time I left the GP, but she wanted me to go anyway.
Likely enough, you'll get the same - shoved off to the hospital etc, if you go to the GP.

Have fun.

"Torsion of the Tesicles" I believe is the condition. Remember a mate of mine had the problem after he fell off his bike as a kid. Nasty op, very painful. Walked like John Wayne for weeks

If it was a torsion you would bloody know about it (vomitting from the pain etc) as my Doctor told me...and IF you had managed to have a torsion I'm pretty sure the spud would be dead by now.
My brother had similar symptoms to yours and it turned out to be an infection cured by some antibiotics or similar.
Oh and another thing...when I "thought" I had problems with my family jewels I decided to look on the net for help as you are now....and came away wishing I hadn't. People describing the symptoms I had and saying how you would have minutes to live and other b0ll0cks (no pun intended) like that....best save it for the doc mate..

Oh and it could also be a varicose vein too which can cause pain from time to time...

Not that I really want to go into too much detail or worry you too much Andrew, but I know where Franx is coming from!!

This happened to me when I was about 16. Fortunatley, my doc was on the ball (no pun intended ) and he realised what had happened. I ended up having an emergency operation and beig laid up for two weeks.

Without doubt the most painful thing I have ever had. From what you have described, I don't think tyou have the same thing, as the pain was unbearable. All the same, you should get this checked out!

I had the same thing about three years ago - just started one day and still comes back every now and again. Saw the specialist and had scan etc. Specialist reckoned it could be a small cyst and he could operate to stop the pain by separating some nerves. Decided to wait and see and it has got no worse, basically comes and goes as above.

Best to get it checked out but don't get over-concerned by the cancer doom-merchants - basically in that scenario you'd be feeling sh*te all-round long before you traced it to your *****.

Hope this helps!

My little operation (snip snip) went a bit awry, had pain for nearly twelve months, saw several doctors, the good looking and newly qualified one asked me to fill a specimen jar with urine, I bring it back in and she looks at it and somehow manages to spill it all over her desk, I have never been so embarassed in my life, it not often you get to p1ss all over a Doctors desk.

Dont worry too much, probably just 'Epididymo-orchitis'... a minor infection/inflammation of the ********. Agree best to have GP check it just in case, but wouldn't lose too much sleep if no lumps to feel. May need antibiotic if doesn't settle.

PS how did you get a GP appointment so quickly??!!

Sounds like gravel nuts to me. Bash one off you'll be as right as rain!

Only joking get to the quacks and get it checked out. As for cancer of the ******** has anyone read Lance Armstrong's book, It's Not About the Bike? A fantastic read. He had testicular cancer and just felt a little rough. By the time it was found they gave him a chance of living of about 15%. Survived and went on to win the Tour De France for a record number of times... and still going. A real inspirational book.
